I’ll be honest, instead of spending any amount of time searching through a bunch of celeb photos to find the perfect look this week, I just googled Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and, BOOM, done.
It’s not that I’m lazy today, it’s just that every time I see Mrs. Transporter, she looks fabulous. I’ve been wanting to feature her looks for weeks, so I picked today to do it.
I’d love to show you a picture of my own pair, but they’re fairly worn, so I think this is more helpful to show you just how gorgeous they are. Cobalt, guys!
I have exactly one item in my closet that I can’t live without, a pair of heels that I wear every chance I get (which is perfect because that chance doesn’t happen too often, severely limiting how quickly I can f-up these shoes): my favorite, amazing, dazzling cobalt blue-suede pumps.
I kid you not: They go with EVERYTHING. I’ve seen people give me the eyebrow when it comes to pairing these shoes with certain outfits, but once they see the result, the response is usually:
“HOLYGODTHATLOOKSAMAZEBALLSWOW.”
Well, I might be reaching with those exact words, but you get the idea.
Besides, it’s so important to have an element of surprise in whatever look you bring to the table, whether it’s an unexpected snap of color, a bright, chunky necklace (which I also love) or a wild print that no one expects—it’s what makes your style unique.
I don’t know that Dolce Vita makes this exact shoe anymore (and trust me, I’m extra careful with mine because they can’t be replaced), but you can find similar looks here and here.
I don’t know about you, but it’s gloomy here in Los Angeles (and a bit here in my head; it feels like a case of the Mondays cropping up a Friday). We could all use a few smiles today, so I hope this makes you laugh as much as I did.
Jimmy Kimmel’s “Lie Witness News: New York Fashion Week” highlights what a lot of fashion-industry insiders have pointed out this season: “Street style” has gotten out of hand and there are too many non-industry people (and probably FIT students) dressing up and hanging around the tents at Lincoln Center, just hoping to be photographed by Bill Cunningham.
Usually I pick the look of the week based on an overall look: outfit, hair, shoes, makeup, accessories, etc. This week, however, I am basing it solely on beauty because, wowzers, check out Kate Bosworth’s makeup at the Bvlgari Retrospective opening at the M.H. De Younger Memorial Museum in San Francisco last night. Beautiful and natural and gooooorgeous!
