Marc Jacobs Turns Back Time at Paris Fashion Week for Louis Vuitton

I loved the headpieces from Marc Jacobs’ final Louis Vuitton show. He’ll be leaving the luxury brand to focus on his eponymous line, so this was his literal final bow for LV. And though the designs were luxurious, they were also a bit repetitive within the collection and…dare I say…already been done? Possibly by yet another icon of fashion at the 1986 Academy Awards?

And then there were my favorites from the Fall 2013 Ready to Wear collection:

But it didn’t end there…I don’t usually like the cold weather, but Erdem has turned me into a fan of fall with these pieces from their Autumn/Winter 2013 collection:

Here’s to being ready for (Pre-) Spring 2014:

Inspired Swimwear for a Hot Desert Getaway

Happy Friday, everyone! I’m headed to Palm Springs this weekend and I’m pretty excited—it’s going to be a lot of time in the sun, reading magazines and hanging out by the pool with friends. I’ll be sure to take some pics of the weekend, plus, I hope I’ll get in some time to snap some peaceful desert landscape photos.

While I was packing my own swimwear last night, I thought I’d bring you my favorite part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami, which was Mara Hoffman‘s 2014 swimwear collection. She created amazing pieces that seemed to take her 2013 collection—which had a “desert gypsies outlaw” theme—to a new level, with inspired prints and fabulously bright colors. Enjoy, and have a great weekend! I
